Earth war planning thread

So since pretty much all of us have a character, or more than one character involved in the events on Earth, I figured we should probably open up a planning thread for the inevitable invasion by the Daemons on Earth. So I'll just lay out some ideas I had about it, because I am your all powerful story idea overlord. KNEEL BEFORE BRE- ahem, I'm fine, I'll continue.

So I'm intending to run the war like a campaign consisting of several major battle threads and many smaller skirmish threads, so the war won't just be over in a single big blow out it'll take a while. For a start Michael and the gang will need to persuade humanity that they should be in charge of the war effort, because they know the enemy and have funky magical weapons stockpiled that can hurt them.

I'll be making it like a world war in a war, in that the Daemons will have territories they control and humanity (once they choose to let the gang lead them) will have territories they control. Anyway, thoughts? Additions? I'm open to suggestions, anything that can be added, or ideas for events during the war are all welcome.

The idea sounds fantastic, i'm looking forward to it. I definitely think one of the skirmishes should be the siege of an old medieval castle, using catapults and balistae to hold of the Daemon siege engines. also, I know it's a pretty serious event and all but it would kill me if, during a reconnaissance mission into enemy territory, one of Michael's gang found a bunch of satanists in the middle of some bizare ritual with some Daemons at the side staring at them in confusion and taking the piss out of them.

It wouldn't be catapults and balistae, remember it's present day on Earth right now, it'd be artillery and all that stuff. But there'll definitely be situations where they have to fight off a siege, I see them putting artillery placements and anti-tank guns (effectively modern day cannons) onto old castles and strongholds from the 1800s because they'd make good bases even in a modern war with their thick walls and so on. Plus I'm sure the walls would get reinforced with the same runic magic used on the weapons they've stockpiled to make them stronger so they'd withstand the kind of onslaught daemons can bring forth, so holding off a Daemon siege engine is definitely a possibility.

I could imagine the siege engine being similar to stuff from chaos in 40k, all demonic looking but technological.

As for the idea of the Daemons taking the piss out of a bunch of satanists in the middle of a stupid ritual, that is an absolute must. xD The Daemons would be all like: The fuck do they think they're doing?

I like it, I think I'm going to involve Sabriel in some of it more than my other characters as I havn't done many threads on her. But dw Devante is a must have asset to any thread with Michael in it <3

Well considering it's the war on Earth, surely it should involve Sarah mainly in threads with Michael, but I don't mind who you use in it. I'll probably have Isaan stick around for it, but he'll intentionally defer leadership to Michael, so long as Michael doesn't try give him direct orders. xD

OHohoh can Sunny be involved and have his own strike team for parts of it? :3 I'd like to use him anyway, just think it would be pretty awesome if, as a High Inquisitor, he could have his on special ops team to use in situations like that.

He can bring his own Dragos Midnight strike team as a war asset (lol been playing too much ME3) if he wants to. Several immortals pledged to help Michael with the situation in that one thread we did, so I'm sure all of them will end up being present during the war. Isaan won't be bringing any soldiers though, he wants humanity to stand on its own two feet generally. But Dragos Midnight can't ignore a situation like this, considering their duty is to hunt Daemons and the like.
