Relara sat at the table outside the restaurant and sipped her water. She was waiting for Seth as she was often his contact here on Earth as she lived here when not working. She lived in a large manor house just on the outside of London and often came into the city to shop or enjoy human life, even though she was far from it.
Her phone suddenly rang and she picked it up, expecting it to be Seth with an excuse why he was running late. She nearly regretted answering right away without checking as she heard a familiar noise in her ear. She sighed before engaging in a strange conversation, only heard by one side.
"Yes Keri, I am sure your loving it." "Yes yes, just stay there until the convention closes." "No, just stay in Japan." "No they are not real cat people... And no, don't agree to take off your 'costume'." "Yes of course, I will pick you up tomorrow. Have fun."
She sighed as she hung up and leant back in her chair, sipping her water again. Why did she have to have that bright idea to bring Keri to somewhere she wouldn't be given strange looks? She almost felt like she was babysitting. And where the heck was Seth?!

Finding a place to park in London was the most difficult and frustrating thing a person would ever experience, with their one way streets and toll zone where you had to pay just to drive through the area. Of course as a detective sergeant, Seth was mercifully free of that last issue with driving in London because his car was registered as a police vehicle. He pulled into a multi-storey car park and locked up, walking still in the suit he'd been wearing fresh from the crime scene he'd met the Dragos Midnight agents at.
Making his way out of the car park, he heard the jeers of a group of youths hanging about in it, but didn't pay them any heed as he got out onto the street and turned left to get to the café before Relara threw a fit. Ever since she had become an entity she had been much more stable than as two separate people, but she still became unstable at times and had random outbursts if provoked even slightly. There was also the fact she kept trying and failing miserably to kill Seth, wanting to take his place as heir to the throne though in Seth's mind this was just a joke and she would never go through with it.
As he finally came upon the café, he spotted Relara sitting outside and caught the back end of her conversation with Keriani. The very idea the half-feline woman was on Earth caused him to loosen his tie a little and then undo the top button of his collar, everywhere that damn cat went there was trouble following her in some weird manner that she usually caused but always got away with. When she'd put the phone down he came up to the table and took a seat opposite her, looking around at the outdoor seating area where only a couple sat on the other side seemingly oblivious to the siblings as they tried to give one another tonsil examinations with their tongues.
Seth made a face at this and returned his gaze to his sister, smiling. "Sorry I'm late, I had to meet with... friends... at a murder scene." he said, putting emphasis on the word friends so she knew he meant immortals and not just the usual police colleagues he had to work with undercover. "Nice place you picked this time. So, how is everything?" He looked over at her, his false brown eyes giving a gleam of their natural blue and red for a moment while looking at her.

Placing her phone back into her bag she appeared like a proper human woman, probably much more convincing than most other Immortals currently on Earth could, as she lived here and coming to places like this was common to her. She folds her arms as she watched him sit down opposite her, waiting for him to explain his reasons first before judging him. "I guess you can be let of the hook for that," she said, although her eyes narrowed slightly in annoyance at having been kept waiting, "How many is it now?"
She knew about the murder investigations, after all she knew Seth was on Earth and had wanted to know the reason why, especially when he was working in her home city. And it didn't hurt Seth to have a contact who knew the area better than most either. "Everything is fine, just fine for me, how about you? Found out who's doing this yet?" She asked calmly and made sure to keep the conversation purely within the basis of mortal understanding in case they were overheard.

"Nearly two dozen so far," he replied. "All in the space of a month and they're getting more frequent."
Seth had a theory that the person posing as an angel to make these apparently good natured, but religious humans commit murder was gaining momentum as he or she became more confident in the fact they had not been caught yet. If that was the case it was only a matter of time before they became overconfident and that led to making mistakes, the issue was a lot more people could die before the criminal made the much needed mistake and so Seth would not rest on that hope and allow more people to die while he waited.
"We know it's something to do with the television, all of the murderers we have in custody insist the angel spoke to them through it." he explained, pausing only to order drinks from a young waitress who took their orders and then left. "The... agents... we'll call them are looking into it with more detail while I'm here."
The drinks were brought to the table, Seth had ordered an orange and passion fruit j2o because he wasn't a fan of mortal alcohol, plus it was a reasonably good summer day and the ice cold fruit drink with ice in it was certainly refreshing. Not that the sun made a blind bit of difference to the immortal with the ability to regulate body temperature to suit their surrounding. He downed the drink rather rapidly however, clearly quite thirsty despite this factor of his existence.
"No need to talk about work though, let's discuss other things." he said, looking at his sister again. "Like what you've been doing."

She nodded slowely at the news of the murders increasing in speed and amount. It wasn't good news at all but at least Seth and his co-workers, Immortal and otherwise, were slowely closing in on the case. "I am sure you will be able to catch the culprit soon," she said when he was done before turning to the waitress to order her own drink, sparkling springs water. Normally she wouldn't mind a glass of red wine but it was too early in the day for a "human" woman to start drinking.
She leant back in her chair and sipped her water once it arrives, relaxing as the discussion turned to her. "Well, Not a lot..." She shrugged softly. It was true, after her last mission had become a bloodbath of her own causing, she had half chosen, half silently been told to take a break. So she had came home to think about things. She believed she was getting better at least though, her blood-lust dying down.
As she explained the situation of her... break to him, she also ordered a bowl of strawberries for them to share while they talked, munching happily on the sweet fruit until she finished her lengthy discussion about how she had taken to shoe shopping to Seth, "And how about you? Anything outside of work?"
