On the clearest of nights, when the winds of the ethereal where calm and peaceful, the great merchant ships with their cargo of sola crystals felt safe and secure as they headed through the Alumna Galaxy towards the trading planet Obel. Little did they suspect that they where pursued by a notorious rogue figure who had the soul intent to destroy the Alumna Galaxy for a motive that still to this day is unclear.
The Planet Obel was a beautiful sphere of purple and magenta gases that from afar looked like a ball of metallic paint. The sky a soft pink gave birth to slivers of shapeless clouds that drifted across the horizon watching that which was beneath it. The planet was mainly made from water, crystal clear with the reflected color of a deep magenta washing up against the golden fields of sand. Ahead of the grains that made the edge of the land stood a magnificent crustacean of purple clear crystals reflecting the pink sky. The jagged minerals scoured the majority of the land causing inhabitance to be impossible, that is if you only believed in building on the floor. Above the jags of rocks stood large stone buildings, like skyscrapers only larger, each with docks of wood and ladders allowing passage to the different buildings. The wooden bridges of planks where filled with traders come from galaxies to sell their wares and make a living for themselves. There where inhabitants of all races and large ships floating in the sky attached to docks, coming and going bringing forth new arrivals to go about their own business or pleasure.
Upon the planet a young Melaer named Diovicus sat perched on a stool with a net below his feet to catch the unfortunate with two left feet, dangling off the edge of one of the large buildings. He was hunched over a bar that dug into the grey colored stone building clutching a glass of strange liquid in his hand, his long blonde hair pulled over his shoulder as he looked to his left. He wore black leather trousers and a puffy black open shirt with leather shoes that wove up to his thighs covering the bottom of his trousers. His duple bag hung over his shoulder containing what little he needed to make a living in the trade planet. He was in the middle of conversing with a large Wolven man with a snarled expression upon his face, seeming old for his race.
"No, you have my apologies for your loss Diovicus, she was a beautiful creature for your race, kind and pure hearted. I never thought she would have fallen victim to a petty thug on your travels."
The man sighed and shook his head with a grim frown, his free hand moved to swipe back his over-grown hair looking back up to the Wolven with his gleaming golden eyes. "It's alright, none of us where to know- She would be happy to know your well though Kalithius."
As silence fell upon the two, so did silence fall upon the world until the sky lit up in flames and the world erupted into an earthquake that shattered the very stone beneath their feet.
Diovicus looked to his old friend with fear in both of their eyes, snapping their heads back to look at the sky. The largest of all the erected buildings made for the docks to land began to slant due to the quake of the earth. "Diovi do something! The planet can't hold on for much longer!" Kalithius cried as he clung to the bar, shadows of people flew from the edges of the buildings to meet their demise on the jags of crystals. Diovicus watched in horror, fear striking him to the bone as he saw his friends, acquaintances and many unknown people fall and struggle to their deaths. He had to do something, he could, he had to move. Kalithius clawed at the bar as their building began to shake fiercely throwing his grip off, he began to slide down the bar screaming to Diovicus for help, for him to move. Diovicus looked to his friend and reached out to pull him back to the stool, his hand stretching as far as it could trying to grip him. "Forget about me save the people you can!" Kalithius cried in anguish with the last of his breath before he slipped and fell, nothing could save him now.
Shakily Diovicus pressed the flats of his feet against the wooden bar, sliding to the left as he dangled between the two stools. He took in a deep breath before he pushed off the edge and jumped into the air spreading his arms wide in the position of Jesus upon a Crucifix, his head inclined to the floor as the small portion of the City that stood un-scathed shook. Diovicus kept falling fast until a bright white light lit the entity of the City blinding the sight of the world for what seemed like minutes. As the light cleared the City had been absorbed by a Chalk-water colored dome keeping the rest of it from disintegrating or shattering through space into nothing more than an eroded meteorite. Diovicus landed gently on a strip of stone using a manipulation of the wind currents to turn him upright onto his feet and slow his fall, the stone that was once a towering building to be admired. He stood like a statue looking at the devastation ahead of him. The magnificent City was now nothing more than three large buildings attached to a hunk of rock and dirt that floated in space, the sky had been ripped away with the water from the ocean leaving nothing but the stars to grant light into the city. Diovicus feared the worst, no one was there he was too late? Was he alone? "Hello?!" He screamed at the top of his lungs, only to hear his own voice answer in echo. Collapsing the ground Diovicus sobbed into the rubble clawing at the stone, through his harsh reached breathing he took a moment from his grief to speak the words that could bring help. The words that he needed to be answered "Dragos Midnight... send your aid..."
