Biography for Thomas Jacksson
Full Name: Thomas Jacksson.

Specific Details: He has very few scars as he is able to heal without them most of the time, though he does have a few he chooses to keep. His back is covered in knotted scars that could only be the result of vicious and repeated whipping, giving his back a mottled appearance. On his chest above his heart is the faint but obvious shape of a cross. On his left shoulder he has a simple cruicifix tattooed in black ink, usually covered by his sleeve. Around his neck hang a number of leather cords each with a metal symbol representing several of the planet's main religions, as well as wards against evil. He usually carries an oak crossbow across his back along with a quiver of bolts on his left hip, while at his right hangs a medieval-looking broadsword inscribed with several runes.

History: For reasons that have never become clear, Thomas was abandoned on Earth as a baby sometime in the 1600s. Adopted and raised by a family of puritan farmers, he was fated to a difficult life once he reached puberty. At 13, his devil powers manifested when he accidently set fire to the Latin bible he was supposed to be studying. He was already perceived as being unnatural because he was left handed, so this merely sparked the fire. Almost literally. He began to receive regular beatings from his foster parents for his heretical thoughts and actions. At 17, he struck out at a farmhand who had been mocking him with enough force to shatter then unfortunate mans ribs and throw him several feet away. After that, it was decided that he had been possessed by a demon.
locked in the barn for most of the day, he was whipped mercilessly to "beat the devil out of him", was subject to several intensely painful exorcisms and was ultimately burnt at the stake. Afterward, when rattling breaths could be heard coming from his badly burnt body, he was buried alive in the local church's graveyard.
Several days later he escaped his premature grave, giving birth to several zombie myths when the attendants of a funeral witnessed his still partially burnt body clawing its way out of the earth. After escaping, he tried to blend in with humanity for a time, attempting to live a normal life. He met a woman named Elizabeth in a small town far from his old home, and a year later married her. Following this, he learned the hard way that he could never have a quiet life. Less than a month after their wedding they learned Elizabeth was pregnant with Thomas' son, except the child was not fully human. The child was born and the family lived peacefully for a while; until it became obvious that the boy, William, was a strigoi. Thomas, having not been powerful enough to pass his immortality to his child, was forced to kill William after the boy killed his mother to feed on her. The experience convinced Thomas that he was cursed , and thereafter he never grew close to another mortal out of fear of corrupting them too.
After For the next few decades he traveled the world, learning as much about other religions as he could while struggling to master his inner devil. Convinced he was some sort of monster, he chose to devote his life to fighting all forms of evil in the hopes of atoning for his believed sins, setting out to hunt the daemons that even then managed to slip into the world.
Over the years, he has had many aliases in his journey to rid the world of demonic forces. He defeated the High daemon who was using the Salem Witch Trials to weed out immortal foes (not that there ever were any). In the 1700s, he fought against the sorcerers that made up the Spanish Inquisition.In 1888, he was accused of brutally murdering a string of women, who in fact were succubi he had been forced to slash apart with his sword. "The Ripper", they called him then. He removed the strigoi infestation in parts of eastern Europe, using the alias of one Doctor Van Helsing. In 1947, when a hijacked scout ship filled with Hellhounds crashed in Roswell, Thomas was there to save the day.
Since the crash, he salvaged he wrecked ship and stored it in a New Jersey warehouse he owned and maintained as a safehouse, spending what free time he had trying to repair it. Before he had seen the ship, he had been aware of life beyond the planet he was stranded on but had no way to reach it; he hoped that if he fixed it, he could use it to find more Devils who could explain who he was and why he had been abandoned.
Nowadays, he travels the world and deals with the supernatural hazards that occasionally pop up. He has yet to encounter another immortal, so continues to believe himself to be a crime against whatever god exists, thus the cruicifix on his arm and the religious symbols around his neck. He carries himself with the air of a damned man, living out his torment.
